Siófok is found at the mouth of Sió canal, on the southern shore of the eastern cove of Lake Balaton. On the North Siófok is bordered by the Lake Balaton, on the East by Mezőföld formed by the undulating plateaus, and on the South and West by the for the south shore typical gently sloping hills of Outer Somogy.

The town’s main natural treasure is Lake Balaton that shows various characters of its nature from season to season. In summer, visitors are enchanted by the bustling beach, the effervescent summer vibes, the mediterranean atmosphere; and in autumn by the festivals, theatre, dance and operetta performances as well as by classical and pop music concerts following one another.
